Amla (Indian Gooseberry)

Native to areas of Asia, the Indian gooseberry, also known as amla, is a fruit tree.

In especially in its native India, it has a variety of culinary and herbal medical purposes. Because of its high vitamin C content and frequent claims of potential antioxidant and heart-health advantages, the fruit is popular. This little tree contains spherical, delicious fruits of the same hue as its yellow-green blossoms.

The fruits have a pit and a thin peel and are roughly the size of a golf ball. They have been characterised as having a sour, bitter, and astringent flavour.

In India, the fruit is utilised in cooking, and the majority of supplements on the market now are exclusively made from the fruit’s powdered, dried, or extract forms.
However, traditional Indian medicine uses the entire plant, including the fruit, leaves, and seeds.
